VOLUNTEERING / OUTREACHES

SBN SHARE-A-THON/BIBLE-THON VOLUNTEERS

If you are seeking a way to serve the Lord, consider volunteering during SBN Share-a-thons and Bible-thons. It is a ministry opportunity crucial to help SBN accomplish its mission of bringing the gospel to the world! Training is short and user-friendly. You may select hours that fit into your schedule. Minimum shift time is 3 hours, and shifts run between 5 a.m.—11 p.m. A meal is provided for those working during lunch or dinner times.

For information visit the Pastoral Care Station in the lobby.

MISSIONS

Jimmy Swaggart Ministries dedicates one full day of airtime on the SonLife Broadcasting Network to host monthly Bible thons. Viewers are invited to donate Outreach Bibles (hardback versions of The Expositor’s Study Bible) that will be shipped to pastors and church workers ministering in pre-selected countries (many are Third World countries) for that particular month. To date, more than 1.7 million copies of The Expositor’s Bible have been distributed—approximately 30,000 per month.

Additionally, in sincere appreciation of all those who serve, the ministry will also send an Expositor’s New Testament—free of charge—to anyone serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces, as well as all first responders.

INNER CITY

Jimmy Swaggart Bible College students and volunteers team up with FWC ministers to provide outdoor church services, complete with music, worship, and ministry of God’s Word to residents living in and around the center of Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. One-on-one prayer and counseling are also available on request.

PRISON MINISTRY

People in prison face uncertain futures, which is why FWC is committed to reaching those incarcerated in Louisiana prisons with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastors and volunteers who complete the mandatory training from the Department of Corrections each year are allowed access to minister God’s Word to inmates.
