Powerhouse Kidz is the Children's Ministry of Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. While our goal is effective Spirit-led ministry, your child's safety is top priority. Our check-in process is quick, efficient, and organized in a way that is safe and alerts our staff to any special needs of children in our care. Pastor Jonathan and his wife, Taedra use interactive teaching methods to engage children in lessons from the Word of God. Fun is part of each lesson, but the main focus of Powerhouse Kidz is to held children establish a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and accepting Him as their Lord and Savior.
Welcome to the Shepherd’s Farm. We are the Preschool 4-5-year-old class of Family Worship Center. In Shepherd’s Farm, we learn about God’s Word, that the Bible is true, and that Jesus is the Good Shepherd, and we are His sheep. The children have time to play while learning to share, but we are also very busy learning the Books of the Bible song, the Ten Commandments, the Twelve Disciples song, the Lord’s Prayer, and a memory verse. We have a Bible story and color sheet for every service, along with a snack time and song time.
Parents deserve to feel confident that their little ones are being cared for in the church nursery or preschool. That’s why our nurseries are clean, safe, and large enough to accommodate play areas and age-appropriate toys. Each room is assigned 2-4 experienced caregivers who clean the rooms and sanitize toys after each service. Electrical plugs are covered, and toy use is carefully monitored. Our check-in process ensures that each child is registered in their specific room, and that any special needs, allergies, or other concerns are communicated to those caring for your children.
