Children today are growing up in an online world that is evolving faster than most parents can keep up with—and the risks are real. Online gaming platforms, social media, and messaging apps are increasingly being used by predators to groom, exploit, and traffic children. What often begins as a simple conversation can quickly turn into manipulation, secrecy, and harm.
Parental Awareness Night is a community-wide event designed to bring parents, children, educators, faith leaders, and public officials together to confront this crisis head-on.
Hosted by Family Worship Center and partnering with Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill, this evening will provide critical information, practical guidance, and a safe space for families to learn, connect, and take action—together.
This event is not about fear. It is about education, empowerment, and protection.
An informative presentation on current online threats facing children
Insight from state and community leaders
A moderated discussion focused on prevention and awareness
Time for parents and children to connect and talk openly
Prayer and support for families
A powerful moment during the evening will invite parents and children to sit together, reflect, and have honest conversations—creating space for trust, healing, and unity.
Attorney General Liz Murrill strongly encourages families to attend and emphasizes the importance of community involvement in protecting children.
Family Worship Center Pastors Donnie and Gabriel Swaggart are leading this effort with a heart for families and a commitment to ensuring parents are equipped to guide their children safely in today’s digital culture.
Parents are strongly encouraged to attend and bring their children—both younger kids and teens.
